For God's Path

1. Our Problem

All of us, men and women are sinners. As the Bible says, "All have sinned and fall of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

The origin of man's sin is the beginning of time. The book of Genesis tells us that God created all things and saw that "everything was good." So God created man in his image and likeness and put him in the Garden of Eden, so that populating the world and dominate the earth, and gave the first couple the names of Adam and Eve. With the presence of human beings, God he saw everything he had made "very good." (Genesis, chapters 1 and 2).

God has given man the ability to choose and make decisions; Adam and Eve decided to choose their own paths and disobeyed God, assuming the consequences of his actions. The sin of Adam and Eve was, therefore, unbelief, and the consequent disobedience to God. That was the sin that separated mankind from God, and even today this is still the problem: independence and disobedience that leads to eternal death!

2. God's Solution

But God loves us infinitely and unconditionally and He had a perfect plan to bring man back to his presence.

Being omniscient (knowing all things) and knowing that man would fall, God prepared the redemption of man: his plan of salvation was to have someone who had no sin, no stain, to die in the sinner's place. However, only God himself has this condition, only He is completely holy. Then God promises to send a man redeemer, the Messiah.

God sent us his son Jesus - the Redeemer, the Messiah (Messiah means "sent") so that through his death he rescued us from our sin. Jesus Christ was the only human being who was born without sin, because it was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit without man's participation. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"as one sin condemned all human beings, so one act of salvation frees everyone and gives them life."
Romans 5:18

Jesus is the "Lamb of God" sacrificed in our place to free us from sin. Jesus' sacrifice is perfect and completely acceptable to God, for He is the incarnate God.

Salvation is not by human merit. Man can not save himself. Only Jesus - the Messiah, the Christ - can, with his sacrifice, saving everyone who believes in him. Can not a man be saved through charity, payment promises, penances and sacrifices. The apostle Paul wrote in the letter to the Ephesians: "For by grace you are saved through faith. This does not come from you, but is a gift from God. Salvation is not the result of the efforts of you; therefore no one can be proud to have it. Because God made us what we are now; in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us to do good works that he had prepared for us, "Ephesians 2: 8-10.

The Bible shows us that only through Jesus Christ that we are saved and that there is no intercessor or mediator, there is no redeemer and there is no other gospel, "Salvation can only be achieved through Him. For there is in the world no other name under heaven given to humans, through which we can be saved. " acts 4:12

The salvation of Jesus is for all those who believe in Him, for the Bible also tells us that: "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus, you will be saved."
Romans 10: 9-10

Therefore, there is only one path that leads back to God: Jesus Christ. "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one can come to the Father except through me "John 14: 6.
